Our Resolution: After exhausting a checklist of possibilities, the UnbreakableIT Help Desk suggested the client send a cell phone picture of the wiring to the router. The picture revealed that a wire had been connected to an incorrect port. The issue was resolved in seconds and required no onsite technician.

Jaime Halscott

Jaime founded UnbreakableIT believing that technology should be easy to use. His vision was to make technology accessible to Orlando businesses of all sizes in simple managed packages.

Jaime has worked his entire career to build successful software and technology companies. Most recently, Jaime was a Director at a Windows management software company, ScriptLogic, where he helped build a world class pre-sales engineering team. Prior to that, Jaime was on the ground floor of a local software start-up, Small Wonders Software, where he brought his networking and infrastrucutre skills to assist in creating management software for the Windows platform.

Before joining the software world, Jaime was an IT Director for the Diocese of Orlando, where he designed a large scale Windows networking infrastructure. Jaime began his career writing software for credit card processing at Paysys in Maitland and creating database systems for tracking turbine outages at Siemens Westinghouse. He has also designed large scale business-2-business e-commerce systems for e-procurement at Go-Coop

Dave has been in the technology field for nearly 15 years. In that time he has seen and kept up with many changes in the hi-tech industry. He has committed himself to learning all he could about computer security and forensics. UnbreakableIT has used his expertise on many occasions to warn clients about their vulnerability to hackers and recover valuable data from a crashed hard drive. Dave moved to Florida from New York twenty years ago and is married to Becky. They have 2 kids in college and one still at home finishing high school.

Joe Cosmano

Joe is UnbreakableIT’s data center expert. He has a proven track record designing, supporting, and maintaining complex fault tolerant infrastructures that meet even the most demanding clients’ uptime requirements. Before joining UnbreakableIT, Joe managed the engineering staff and facilities for a world class data center provider. He was responsible for ensuring all aspects of the 25,000 square foot data center, managed hosting products, colocation services, and interstate ISP operated at peak performance levels in a 24/7 environment.

Working in the managed hosting industry has provided Joe with an incredible breadth of experience supporting heterogeneous architectures.

While Joe has focused on Linux server administration and Cisco powered networks, he is also extremely familiar with Microsoft and Apple systems as well as virtualization, security, enterprise architecture, and application development. Joe’s expertise and versatility adds to UnbreakableIT’s ability to design, manage, and support diverse client infrastructures.

Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in information systems technology from Orlando’s University of Central Florida. He is currently working towards his master’s degree in information systems security at the University of Denver.

Justin Bowen

Justin Bowen began working in the information technology arena in high school, with his formal education culminating in a Computer Engineering degree from Orlando’s University of Central Florida. He has worked for such companies as Goldman Sachs, New Mission Systems International, Advanced Network Solutions, and now Unbreakable IT, holding positions including IT Operations, Network Engineer, and Director of Information Technology. He is known as a long time contributor to the IT industry, having extensive experience with a wide variety of network, network devices (SonicWALL, Cisco), and Microsoft Windows Server platforms. When not fully immersed in technology, Justin can be found playing music, acting in theatre, film, and commercial productions, and traveling abroad. Justin’s love of technology is equaled by his love of the arts and adventure.

W. James Halscott

Dr. Halscott is a behind the scenes force to help us get things done and get them done correctly. Jim spent 33 years working in areas of administration, human resources, health, and facilities management. He is the former Director of Human Resources for Orlando, Florida’s Orange County Public School System. He consults in the technology field and has developed and marketed software systems. His years of experience and education provides direction that helps move the organization forward. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio State University, Master’s Degree, Villanova University, and his Doctorate Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Florida.

Kim Ellis

With over 15 years of Information Technology experience, Kim Ellis is a well-rounded IT professional. Kim began her IT career in the U.S. Army, as a Network Specialist where her responsibilities encompassed support, administration, design, and implementation both here in the U.S. and globally. Her skills and experience carried into civilian life as a Network Operations Technician, IP Engineer, and finally to the role of Director of Technology in the private sector. She has worked for top companies such as Inflow, Comcast, Motorola, Orlando Coalition for the Homeless, and Regis Jesuit High School, all companies known for forward thinking technologies and excellence in their fields. She is very knowledgeable, and highly regarded for her work with such technologies as Network Management, Switching, Routing, Security, DNS, IP Engineering and has been Microsoft and Cisco certified.

Kim spends her free time around all things motorsports related. An experienced Autocross and Kart racer, Kim enjoys spectating at race events both locally and abroad. She works as an IT consultant to race tracks, and also as a course safety official for IMSA and SCCA racing organizations, and teams such as Porsche and Audi. She has managed the business end of a racetrack as well as the IT side, and is very passionate about her efforts in motorsports.

Roy Kerns

Roy has been in the Information Technology field for 15 years. He started his career in New York City area providing all levels of support for various Fortune 500 companies. In these support roles he developed his client friendly demeanor and empathy directed towards the resolution of client issues. Later, he held positions of Network Administrator, IT Manager and System Administrator. In these positions he designed and implemented the IT infrastructure for corporate headquarters and satellite offices, achieved greater efficiencies in power/cooling/cost by implementing virtualization technologies based on VmWare. In his career he also has extensive experience with Cisco and Juniper switches and firewalls as well as Microsoft based systems. He continues to enhance his knowledge of all aspects of Information Technology to better serve the customers of UnbreakableIT.

Jason Barron

Jason has 20 years of Information Technology experience.  He began his career with the Federal Aviation Administration as a network administrator involved in support, administration, and making different operating platforms work in harmony.  Jason used the skills he learned to work with large vendors such as HP, Lockheed Martin and Kodak to provide seamless transitions and network upgrades for clients.

Jason’s skillset ranges from workstation hardware and software, server operating systems and hardware as well as network management including, switching, routing, and security.  Jason’s customer service has served companies well over the years and has helped him deliver results to the client as well as given users the confidence their problems will be solved.

David Perez

David began his technology career in 1989 where he earned his Main Frame Computer Operator Degree from the Computer Learning Center in Paramus, New Jersey. After graduating, he went to work for ADP as a main frame computer operator. Eleven years later he moved to IT Sales and Trade Shows for ten years. He returned to school to further continue his IT education. David is currently working on obtaining his Bachelors’ Degree in Cyber Security from ITT Tech in Lake Mary. He will complete his degree in 2013. He has extensive experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
